1. Who We Are

DevOpsBeast ("we," "us," "our") operates the website devopsbeast.com. We sell premium technical courses for DevOps, platform, and ML infrastructure engineers.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the minimum data needed to provide our service:

  • Account information: name, email address (provided during sign-up via Google, GitHub, or email registration)
  • Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, CVV, or billing address. We receive a confirmation of payment and your email.
  • Usage data: which lessons you access, course progress, and enrollment status
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information (collected automatically by our hosting provider)

3. How We Use Your Data

  • Provide access to purchased courses and track your progress
  • Process payments and manage your account
  • Send transactional emails (purchase confirmation, password reset)
  • Improve our courses and platform based on aggregate usage patterns
  • Respond to support requests

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our platform:

  • Supabase — authentication and database. Your account data is stored securely in Supabase. Supabase Privacy Policy

  • Vercel — website hosting. Vercel Privacy Policy
  • Google OAuth / GitHub OAuth — used for sign-in only. We receive your name and email from these providers.

5. Cookies

We use minimal cookies — only what is required for authentication sessions. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics cookies. Your auth session cookie is httpOnly, secure, and expires when you sign out.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your account and all associated data, contact us at sharon@devopsbeast.com. We will delete your data within 30 days of your request.

Payment records are retained as required by law for tax and accounting purposes.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, secure authentication via Supabase, and PCI-compliant payment processing via Stripe. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and data
  • Withdraw consent for data processing
